The 100€ was paid into my bank today, as promised
I believe French pensioners have to wait a bit longer don't they, is it February when you get yours? But I just thought I would let y'all that they are as good as their word, you can be confident of getting it..

Seriously, you do have to be quite poor to get this 100€. Well heeled ladies and gentlemen and iels who really wouldn't notice it, most likely won't get it.

I've just returned home to find a mail inviting me to check whether I'm eligible, so it's not automatic for every (French) OAP. I'll certainly check when I've finished wading through all my other mails and keeping up-to-date with BE news!

According to the site, if I was eligible, I should have received mine before Christmas. Alas, I didn't, so my combined Pensions must be above the threshold. What it is to be rich....

Is this "Indemnité inflation" the same as the 100 € "chèque énergie" that EdF has been offering for the last few years? A link in my (genuine) mail said that those eligible in Occitanie will have received this before Christmas. In the past, they sent a cheque which had to be sent off to some EdF processing department. Hasn't any one else received such a mail from the EdF?
If they are two separate indemnités, I'll wait patiently until February......
(Meanwhile the Fisc kindly informed me that part of my Crédit-Impôts will be transferred to my Bank in January, so I won't cry too much over a possible loss of 100€ )

No this is called "indemnité inflation" and it is a one-off payment to help people on low incomes with the exceptional inflation in the cost of living in general, not just fuel prices..
The chèque energie is a different thing altogether.

This is the text of the email I got from URSSAF, the specific conditions for retirees will obviously be different but I imagine roughly equivalent in terms of income threshold.

"Madame, Monsieur,
