Default How was your weekend?

What are you? Clairvoyants?

Mine was fine but not sure how it ended yet.

I found out it ends with monday.

Well, I'm a clairvoyant, so I'll tell you how it will end - with Monday, that's how the weekend will end.

Mine is going to be spent dithering as usual over this bloody house in Degagnac. We wrote it off cos we thought we couldn't afford it. Now they come back with a compromise so we can nearly afford it. And now the pound has dropped again and we nearly can't afford it again.

Bring on the rubber room and the Jack Daniels.

Have a great evening guys, don't get too bletted, or you won't even remember the weekend .....

So, because I am a total masochist, I just looked at Brittany to console myself and found about 8 more totally gorgeous ones, and all in our price range this time.

Mind you, they are in our price range TODAY - if the pound keeps dropping like a proverbial tart's flippin knickers, we'll soon be in another price range altogether, and trying to buy a knackered bread oven in someone's back garden ......

Love ya, have a great weekend

You don't sleep on difficult decisions, you lie awake all bleedin' night, in my experience. This weekend is getting sorted for Crimbo. Good luck everyone1

Read somewhere that they reckon the euro/pound is going to be 1:1 before end of year. Really don't know how some are coping, especially those on UK pensions.
You should try looking around Manche/Mayenne too. Think of all the fun we could have if you were closer

We are actually now enquiring about some properties at Scrignac and up that way - is that near you? We are going to look at the Degagnac bungalow on 9th January and check out that area though - just to make sure and all that. If it isn't possible, we are widening our search to include Brittany and areas around there, so anyone got any recommendations?

I still keep thinking about that clip from Absolutely Fabulous with Eddie and Patsy totally bletted on wine tasting in that French Chateau - it always reminds me of what I reckon we'd be like, taking The North by storm!!

Great, thanks Val - will check them out - I like Normandy, got to convince other half the weather is different though - he just looked at figures for Brest and I heard this shocked sucking in of breath and he said:

"Blimey it's wetter than Teignmouth"

Methinks that could be the Kiss of Death ................

I had a blinding time. Northern Soul in Toulouse, and these French kids know their stuff. Even a German there well into it and knowing his music.

Felt like a minor celebrity at times, kept being asked "You went to Wigan Casino?" and what it was like.

Very friendly crowd and I got a dj spot next time! Well it was a gorgeous late teen blonde that organised it that asked so how could I say no? LOL.

So what was Wigan Casino like then?

My weekend was good - too much on saturday night with a poker game (yes, I know) til late. Sunday surprisingly OK with lamb for lunch and those two pheasant for dinner. Then today paid the price and was knackered. but then I'm at work today so who cares?
