Hobby business ?
Hi.
Reading Bunnysues' thread and ET's post reminded me of a point I've been meaning to clarify.
I am registered as a micro , making furniture. I have found some local interest in English lessons/ conversation. I have no teaching qualifications . Am I right in saying that if I wanted to charge for this service I would have to register again as a separate additional business as opposed to just adding any income to my existing a/c ? Indeed, without q's would it be acceptable anyway ?
Thanks

Re: Hobby business ?
One person cannot register two micro businesses. A micro is not a separate business entity, it is you yourself that is the business, and there is only one "you" therefore you cannot be two separate businesses. You could combine the two activities within the same business, provided URSSAF agree. I don't think qualifications will be an issue, the only question is whether they feel the two activities are compatible or not. I don't see why they wouldn't be but who knows how URSSAF's mind works.
