Hello, hope someone can help and give me more info than I can find!
My partner Ben has been offered a job at a golf course in saint nom la breteche, we will be provided with accommodation so one less thing to think about... but any info on the area would be greatly appreciated. And any info on where i can search for a job for myself in or around saint nom la breteche, unfortunately at the moment i dont really speak any french, but very keen to learn. Any help would be great, including any general moving to france info/advice! Thank you, Frankie

Hi, we used to live in the S.W. suburbs and sometimes found ourselves in the forest around St Nom. Beautiful!
On the other hand, I doubt that there's much opportunity of work on the spot, unless you, too, find a job at THE golf course (very famous!). There's a direct SNCF line to St Lazare in Paris where you'd be more likely to find work. It depends what your line of work is, but even in multi-lingual Paris you must be able to communicate in French.

you could try a language school such as inlingua (there are many); they often dont ask for french or even tefl

I forgot to mention before, but you should think about healthcare coverage, since, until you find a job, you won't be covered by your partner's if you're not married. Some one more knowledgeable will come along to advise about that...
