No, you're more or less right.
But IMO Maternelle and Primaire children do need their clothes marked, esp. coats and sportswear and when they go for Classes Vertes, etc.... As I said above, adolescents aren't as compliant, and in any case are less likely to lose their clothes... It would be a market limited to the under 11s but, on thinking about it, the ones I bought for my elder daughter in Maternelle (simply the surname as it's unusual enough) were plenty enough to serve for the younger one too, until the end of Primaire, and was therefore a one-off purchase.
But the OP seems to have gone away....

Before the Mod deletes your post (as it's in French and against the BE rules!) I'll say: rather a lot!
Luckily there ARE newbies who take our advice on-board and thank us!!

Against the BE rules because I don't want the OP to feel offended if they ever come back!

Some harsh, uncalled for comments here imho, especially as the OP had replied twice with words of thanks and appreciation.

To steer the topic back onto friendlier ground, it looks as if it's not only young children who need to have their clothes marked - as Del Boy Trotter clearly believes..........

Sorry, I apologise to the present OP if it sounded as though my recent comments were directed at them. I was thinking of all the other "personnes" (mentioned by bp) in other threads who just disappeared without a word of thanks.

A good example of a business that may do well in the UK but not necessarily in another culture.

Hi DMU, no need to apologize. My comments certainly weren't directed at you.

Not sure what that means, but it sounds like you need a business bank account and commercial banking services, rather than the expense and uncertainty of relocating your family to France. You might first want to talk to your bank in the UK about a euro account and facilitating receiving payments from customers in France.

I am not certain how French banks might view a non-resident business, so you might need to register a business/ corporation locally, and have a local mailing address. I assume an accountant would be able to advise and provide on-going support until the business grew to where it warranted its own premises and staff.

I beg to differ, our dd is off on a school trip and the school have requested that all items of their clothing is labeled pita but we would like it all back. I guess there may be a gap in the market for labelling children.

Couldn't agree more.

I've no idea why the France forum's usually happy , friendly but firm helpful nature seems to have gained a somewhat morose edge to it.

Hopefully it's just something in the French air and will pass shortly .

Meanwhile whilst Frankie1992 may well be still researching a possible family move , it seems she has decided not to interrupt the subsequent chat between you all about her life , family and business to give you her own further thoughts . So thread closed.
