Given up, bye

Re: Given up, bye
Bob as a BE Admin can certainly help with this.
Eurotrash should contact him direct using this FORM.........if it works. Sometimes these do not.
Or maybe another helpful poster can ping Bob via PM about this. Whichever , a current email for Eurotrash would be needed so perhaps also someone can contact Eurotrash direct because at the moment this poster has no way to make contact to BE other than the form.

I felt it worth mentioning - not that it would help ET in this particular instance, other than providing some background vis a vis likely security questions - that using a password manager is generally considered to be a Good Idea.
We have a slightly old thread on password managers here.
With Bob having pointed me in the right direction, I've stuck with KeePass, driving it from Windows, replicating it to Linux, Android 'phone and a secure backup.

Hello peeps
Thanks Tweedie. Thanks Bob. Thanks everyone.
Ouf, it was too much excitement for me at my age. Now I need to go and lie down in a dark room now.
I'll come back and chat tomorrow if that's OK?

Wow!
WOW!
I'm so impressed, how do you guys do that ???
Thank you very much, it's so sweet of you all. But very strange, because in real life people are usually glad to see the back of me...
I've just rocked up in Loir et Cher where I'll be working for the next 6 months (at least that's the theory). Never been here before, it seems a nice area, but I will probably be quiet and stay out of your hair for a few days at least while I settle in and find my way around and generally try and get back into the French groove.
WOW!

Having said that, when we resided in Hong Kong my wife befriended a French expat lady who nobody else could get on with, not unlike Tatie Daniele (for those who didn't see the film you missed a classic). The film poster indicated has a great heading, "You don't yet know her but she hates you already!"
Anyway they became very close friends. Long story short, she lost her husband whilst there, and moved back to France whilst we continued in HKG for a few more years, but my wife continued to keep in touch, especially to ensure that her friend wasn't rejected by others and maintained a reasonable sanity.
Now years later they still keep in touch by regular weekly phone calls, and her friend came to stay with us last year for a week; she's really quite a pleasant old lady when you really get to know her, at least with us. I still always refer to her as Tatie Daniele, (never to her face of course) as the film has reached a sort of 'cult' following here in France.

I tend to start with Pinot Gris (purely for inspirational purposes you understand) then use this tool to manipulate images.
For some vague reason I have an idea in my head that Tweedpipe is more of a vin rouge kind of person, and knowing his affinity for Mac over Windows based computer thingys (for which he is perfectly correct, imo) I believe that he uses 'something else'.
