Good idea
I like listening to Garou. He sings quite a few of his songs in French and English which also helps.

Re: French Songs
In a recent effort to become more popular, French music companies (like french cinema companies) have become more "Anglo-Saxon", ie they are making an effort to make something that people actually like. But as a consequence, French music has lost any exclusiveness it once had and only offers a pale ersatz copy of it's more dynamic Anglo-Saxon original, at least Jacques Brel and Edith Piaf could be identified as actually being French (or French-Belgian in case of Brel). I mean French RAP!! What's that all about ? "I live in an HLM, i come from Algeria, i throw rocks at ze fleeks" Can it get any worse, but all the good ol' boys are still rolling out the middle of the road, poptastic "Chansons francaises"! Listening to the performances of french music is a throwback to the 70s London Palladium, music halls, with a few FrogRap songs thrown in for the inhabitants of the banlieues to riot to, funny funny funny

I agree. Not surprising though, this being THE Brel classic.
