French radio for learning
Hi, any suggestions on French online radio stations which might help in my quest of improvong my French?
At the moment I listen to radio Isere from Grenoble which is good as it's a mixture of chat and music. I have tried NRJ but need some more chat although the music is good.
Any recommendations?

I listen to RFM ; 80's music and a reasonable amount of chat; it has improved my listening abilities though the french don't rate it too highly; not highbrow enough I suspect!!

If it's highbrow one wants, then France Culture is for you.
Site HERE
Or lowbrow, jokes and music? Then try Rire & Chanson. I personally love it!
WebRadio HERE
To listen on radio, here's a regional frequency chart HERE

A little at a tangent, but may help someone here.
If its for improving your French I'd recommend stations with a high ratio of advertising. (Normally we'd want to avoid ads, yeah)
Reason being, adverts are there to deliver a message and tend to be slower and more repetitive than normal high speed chatter. Also, because adverts generally deal with everyday wants and needs, we can more easily relate to them and maybe 'follow the drift' even if we don't catch every word.
It may seem daft, but I believe I've picked up quite a bit of vocab from adverts where radio chat went right over my head.

You could try France Inter at 12h45 weekdays, "le Jeu des 1000 euros". A quiz show with a clear-speaking presenter. 12 minutes of French chat, vocabulary and general culture...

Re: French radio for learning
Have been listening to LCI radio (from the TF1 website) which is total conversation which is helping as I am recognising more words.
I drive a lot at the moment and would like to find some podcasts that I could listen to.
I have tried rfi.fr which has been good as the podcasts are long.
Any other recommendations for French speaking podcats?
