Default French Lesson!!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8218069.stm
A British tourist has spent a night trapped in a French town hall after
mistakenly thinking she could book a room at the "hotel de ville".
Next time try

At least you get a nice compfy cell!!!!

PS do they teach this kind of important thing in school French in the UK??

On the other hand, puzzled looks from William Lamergie on FR2 Télématin
this morning when someone reported that certain cashpoints in London
(I didn't get exactly where) are marked "Sausage and Mash" which is
guaranteed to confuse not only foreigners, but also British tourists from
far-away places like Devon!!

It took me a long time to understand, as I'm not a Cockney!
