Flag day

So did we all put our tricolores in our windows today?

I saw red white and blue balloons, tablecloths, a red scarf with a white and blue sock fastened to it, all sorts. What I don't think I saw was an actual flag. What I put out was a red white and blue wig that I once bought for a fancy dress. I didn't see another wig, guess that makes me unique:rofl:

So what did you good peeps put out or see ?

:rofl::rofl::rofl:
In actual fact, we were the only ones to put anything blue/white/red in our hamlet, and the local town only had a handful of "private" flags visible. Disappointing really, but we imagine that most people just don't have a French flag, and not much inventive spirit either!

Didn't see one flag at all flying around here today and neither of our kids had a minutes silence at school.:confused:

Guess people have short memories :blink: There weren't as many round here as I thought there would be, but a respectable showing I thought.

I didn't just miss that, but have no idea what you're on about.

What's special about today? (Genuine question, Mr. Google's already asleep).

Paris attacks: France holds service two weeks after massacre - BBC News

The President asked all French citizens to hang a French flag in their window today, during the Memorial service for the 13th November victims.
Not many French people actually have a flag handy (except for football fans) and, contrary to those in our hamlet, a lot of people elsewhere did have some ideas to replace the flag. E.g. on the French news, some enterprising lady hung up three bras in her window....
