Expert Comptable/Accountant needed - Aude
 

Hi, I am a newbie to this forum but have read lots of threads and so hope someone might be able to help as there appear to be many experienced forum users out there.

I am looking for an 'expert comptable'/ accountant, preferably near to Lezignan Corbieres/Carcassonne/Narbonne.

We have quite a complicated business structure with an SCI, an AE for gites plus some UK income.

Can anyone recommend an expert comptable for me? We speak reasonably fluent French so are happy conducting things in French.

Hi and welcome to the forum!:)
Can't help personally, but when I moved my business down to the Hérault about 20 years ago, I asked a few local stores who they used for their accounting and went to the best-sounding one and kept with him until I retired.
If no one on the forum can recommend one, look in the Pages Jaunes to see which ones are most convenient for you geographically, and ask around!

Depending on how your UK income is taxed i.e. if it is taxed in the UK or if you have CGT issues in the UK, you would possibly have to find an expert comptable who is experienced in both french and UK tax regimes.
If all taxation issues are french then it is not an issue.
Beware, accountants tell you they know what they are doing but some know better than others;)
