Default Expat Pensions

Court hearing expat pensions case
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/8232612.stm
A case that could affect the pensions of thousands of Britons
who have retired abroad will be heard in a European court later.
Note: This doesn't seem to apply to expat pensions within the EU and Switzerland (yet?)

Annual upratings of the UK state pension are paid to recipients living in the European Economic Area and Switzerland, as well as countries where there are reciprocal social security agreements such as the US, Jersey and Guernsey and Turkey.

Countries where pension payments to expats are frozen include Australia, Canada, Hong Kong and South Africa.

Could be that this information should be transferred somewhere else for a more general overview - for expats living or moving outside the EU??

Leave that decision to MODS!
