Default A dreamy old Mill

On our trip last year we saw an old mill, with a lake and large meadow near
Port d'Envaux in need of TLC
It's a stunning get away from it all spot.
Can't do anything at our age but can pass details to anyone interested.

Gosh, sounds blissful. I'm too old now as well, my bones are creaking more than any old beams, but a few years ago, well, maybe. However, we went miles once to look at "une petite moulin, a renover" which turned out to be a flooded boatshed with no roof, so a bit more wary now of the word "dreamy" which means something a bit different to the French, je pense.

Well this is solid stone with sound roof, but nothing much inside except original machinery, so it's only internal renovation needed

I saw something like you described and it was dreamy. Not only was it a functional mill over a river that could bring in an income of 6 grand a year, but the property was about 10 acres, with the main house, a second house and many outbuildings, all for about 180 grand. It was a bit out in the sticks though and not somewhere I would have chosen to live. Couldn't afford it at the time anyhow.
