Cubicle showers
Hallo,
I’m new to this site and hope that someone can help me with a problem we have met with our renovation of an old farmhouse in the Dordogne.
We have got to the stage of installing bathrooms in the house and have been advised by our plumber that as we have wooden floors we should install shower cubicles. As we need three, this is going to be expensive and we are naturally keen to see the showers before we buy. This is proving virtually impossible.
We would be very interested to know if anyone else has received this advice. We have been looking at three versions two from Leda and one from Alterna. The only suggestion the companies have made is to look on line.
We welcome any comments.

After a water leak in my guest suite, the plumber showed me possible new shower cubicles on his phone and I looked at them on-line on the computer for better views. In the end I kept the old one, since it would have been a pain in the neck to remove it and install a new one (involving the demolition and rebuilding of a partition wall), but that's as may be...
Didn't your plumber propose various models? Couldn't he get a professional discount on 3 shower cubicles from his wholesaler?

By "cubicle showers" do you mean the type with glass doors/side partitions etc or do you mean the all singing all dancing spa type thing?
Personally if I had wooden floors I would want to have at least a shower enclosed

There are 2 "kitchen and bathroom installation" stores in my nearest town and a plumber will soon be opening premises showing various bathroom fittings and appliances for hands-on inspection. Check in the Pages Jaunes for your nearest enterprise....

Re: Cubicle showers
That would be saying!
I'm in North Hérault, so a long way from the Dordogne!
If no one on the forum can advise, look in the Pages Jaunes - there are 24 results of a "cabines de douche Dordogne" search, so check your nearest enterprise. There are also a few Leroy-Merlins (and probably other DIY stores) in the Dordogne where you can wander around and make notes on the cubicles on display.
Good luck in your search!
