covid test

Hi all,we're getting the euro tunnel next week and driving to Italy and they require a negative test even though we are double jabbed. Is there anywhere near the tunnel on the French side we can get a test and then have it texted to us or better still while we wait.I think an antigen test will suffise which is quicker.TIA,Brian.

You don't need a test to enter France.
You could get a test in a French pharmacie.
These centres provide Covid tests in the Pas de Calais.

Depending on where you'll be passing the border, you could also do an antigen test just before you leave France, or anywhere on the way, come to that. In my neck of the woods, you simply go into a pharmacie, they do the antigen test (25€ for a non-resident), you wait for the result (15 mins) and, if you haven't got a Smartphone, they print out the EU certificate.
Be aware that you'll be asked for your Pass Sanitaire certifying your double-vaccination, if you want to eat in a restaurant or enter other public places.
Check the rules just before you leave the UK, since they can change from one day to the next.....

After hanging around in Calais till 11am we finally got our certs.Arrived at Swiss Italian border to a massive queue.I thought hello they're checking everything, when we got to the post the sole border bloke was playing with his phone ignoring everyone. The hold up was roadworks in Como.Lol,what a waste of time and money.

Care to elaborate. All I will say is I thought France was more strict but at our hotel in Colmar self service breakfast buffet was allowed. Not the case in Italy and covid jab certs were required in motorway food areas.
