I have a stinking cold and have run out of Beechams hot lemon!!! Does anyone know what the french equivalent is called??????

Hi there, you could try something called "efferalgan" (not too sure on the spelling - sorry) which can be bought over the counter at the pharmacy...

Hi all,

Thanks for your response, Efferlgan is solluble painkillers. The very nice lady in the local pharmacie has managed to point me in the direction of FERVEX which is the french equivalent of Beechams Hot Lemon powders although it is flavoured with antillais which I have seen translated as either sugar cane or a type of mandarin orange. I can't identify the taste or smell as being either one of these but it does seem to be doing the trick and my head feels much clearer now.

Grate black radishes and take the sort of froth that forms on top of the gratings a spoonfull at a time - it takes a day or two to froth up. Does wonders

And it makes you feel better immediately. Anyway that's my theory and I'm sticking to it.........
