COC
 
This question has probably been asked before,but do you still need a COC for a car brought to France from UK ,what if you cant get 1 for your car....what happens
Any advice would be most helpful as we are moving in middle of Jan 2010:D

If the Car is pre 1998 then Drire inspect it, If it is older than 1979 then you can go the Classic Car route. If the exact Make and Model is already on Drire`s database it can make life a lot easier, Japanese Imports can be a complete pain in the arse.

The car i would be bringing over to France would be a Toyota Landcruiser Amazon 2003

Well if it was a en masse release in Europe or the UK then Toyota will have a COC for it. Have you contacted Toyota as being a 2003 the COC would not have been supplied with the car its something you have to ask Toyota for and will cost 100 to 200 euros. Its far easier to go to Toyota for the COC than go to Drire for an inspection without one.
