Default Christmas Bonus

I noticed a credit of 11,53€ from the Pensions Dept. on my Bank Statement the other day, and thought it was an end-of-year adjustment for some reason.
Now it seems to be a Christmas Bonus, which quite surprized me, since I've lived in France for decades and don't recollect such largesse in other years. Have any other Seniors out here been granted the same sum?
Not that I'm complaining, every little counts....

I just checked and I have received exactly the same amount.

I can't find any ref to the sum you mention, but for the Prime de Noel 2023 the following gives additional info.

It is the 10 pound Christmas Bonus which has been paid to UK state pensioners (and those in receipt of certain benefits) since 1972. Unlike pensions it has never been increased in line with inflation.

And for all these years since I retired, I haven't realized what the "extra" at the end of the year was for....
I'll be adding this largesse to my annual Tax Declaration next year, as usual, hoping it doesn't put me in a higher tax-bracket....
Thanks to all for the info!

After the blatantly underhanded tactics by the Tory government to fiddle us out of our Winter Fuel Allowance I was expecting the Xmas bonus to go as well. Still, if there is another Conservative government after the next election that will probably be on the list of cuts.
