Cheque emploi

Hello,

I'm an English teacher employed by a language school in Lyon and am in the French social security system. I've been asked if I'd be interested in doing some private work and being paid by Cheque Emploi.

I just wondered if anyone knows what they are and how they work.

to you its a cheque like any other pay it to your bank

the person paying you has to buy a book of cheques from their bank, they also have to have the right to do this.

so ... it means they pay your social security when they pay you

not sure about tax? perhaps not!

but it means by CHEQUE they EMPLOY so its way safer than cash in hand :)

Re: Cheque emploi

With a Cheque emploi service, you are sure that your employer will pay taxes; each time he gives you a cheque, he has to send another special chèque, and an administrative office in saint Etienne is calculating all taxes, and order a debit from his account.
In the same time, you will receive a "fiche de paie" Salary Document" that describes to you all the taxes payed: Social security, retirement;insurances
This is the safest way to be paid by an individual
If you do not receive the "fiche de paie", you can complain.
This Fiche de paie will be used for the sécurité Sociale and gives you rights for the assedics.
In the price paid to you, the taxes that the employee normalyy pais, are included
The holidays too.
