Chambery hair salons
Is there anyone reading this forum that has used a hair salon near Chambery and been satisified with them? OK, none of them speak a word of english, and don't expect them to but I need a good cut AND a salon which understands and finishes your hair off with a decent pair of hair straighteners. Both salons I have visited use the cheapest and most awful hair straighteners ever and come out looking decidedly average. I know it is hard finding a good salon in the UK but here is just as bad. the local village didn't even seem to own a pair of hair straighteners!
I am still using my salon in the UK for now. i am not looking for a Tony and Guy salon, but at least one that is half decent.
i also am not sure whether hairdressers over here use the same vocabulary as UK hairdressers, when it comes to layering, choppy or textures cuts and even razoring hair etc.

Unable to suggest salons, but these links and expressions should help you integrate into the real French way of life.

Hi there,
You could give Jacques Dessange a go, in Chambéry itself (101 Place Metropole): http://salon-dessange.com/chambery
They are more or less a Toni & Guy equivalent, so won't be the cheapest, but you will get what you pay for.
Good luck!
