Certifying Documents in France

Hi
Can anyone tell me who my father can go to, in order to get documents certified as true copies of originals?
Thanks so much

We have our's done by our Maire, you can also go to the local gendarme or Notaire.

This could be useful to me too. Do you copy them yourself and take them in with you for them to sign? How much do they charge for this service?

Thanks

Our Maire didn't charge for this service. You will need to take in the original with the copies so they can see both before signing to say they are authentic
