Just a heads up for any Facebookers that the FranceRights group https://www.francerights.org/ have just updated their Fessebook page with new info (can't post the link for some reason but shouldn't be hard to find). For non Fessebookers, I imagine it will all be posted on their website soon.

The main news seems to be the web portal is now intending to launch on 19th although the public announcement may not happen until later in the month; anyone who already has a CdS permanent should be able to exchange it without having to produce anything other than a valid passport; if you don't already have a CdS permanent but can prove that you've lived in France for at least five years you won't be asked to provide proof of status/income etc, the simple fact of having lived here for that time should be enough; if you have lived in France for less than 5 years and don't have a CdS permanent you may have to follow the same procedure as previous with regard to proving healthcare and income, BUT France is expected to use the income requirement for under-65s across the board, ie over 65s won't be required to demonstrate the higher income as per the service public web page for FoM criteria.

So it sounds like good news all round. (And if what it says is correct, good news for me especially because it's looking as if having spent the last year or so outside of France and it won't have scuppered me, as I was afraid it would have.)
