Re: CDG to Calais with dog, help?
Yean thats true it is just a short flight. If it comes to it and getting myself back is going to be too difficult then im sure i can convince someone to come and get me, i would just rather make my own way back if possible. Getting someone to pick me up in the uk will be no problem.
Will have to have a look at the foot passenger rule on the ferry in relation to bringing dogs on. |

Will have to have a look at the foot passenger rule on the ferry in relation to bringing dogs on. http://www.londrespascher.fr/blog/vo...rry-poferries/ If you don't read French, the gist is that dogs must stay in the owner's car during the crossing, and only guide-dogs can be taken by pedestrians and coach travellers. Sorry to be such a wet-blanket, but fore-warned is fore-armed!;) |
Re: CDG to Calais with dog, help?
Just a thought but have you thought about arriving in CDG and then giving the dog to an animal transportation company? I used Goldenway at goldenwaypets.com and they were fantastic. The have an office at CDG. I dealt with Colette who was great. They have a lot of expertise and my animals all travelled well and stress free, as thank heaven was I. Good luck.

Re: CDG to Calais with dog, help?
That's a tough one, I think the best solution is to rent a car and take the channel tunnel as you'll be able to stay in the car with your dog. I took my lab across via ferry and was a little worried about leaving him alone in the car.
Wish you the best x |

Wish you the best x I've never heard of a Hire Car company that would allow you to take a car the other side of the channel without returning it. Ok, even if one did find a company - 'rentaépave?' - that hires a car for both-way channel trips (unlikely) and one could return it later, the OP would then have to fly back to UK. Or hire another car......:p |

No, the dog would be in the UK, so the OP could take the ferry back as a pedestrian....
