Default Can USC wife work in France?

I am a UKC living in US with USC wife of 5 years.

We are thinking of moving to Europe next year, preferably to France. My questions are:

1) As a British passport holder how difficult is it for to get a work visa for France and
2) Is my wife allowed to work in Europe also?

Thanks.

As a UK passport holder you are also a EU citizen and allowed to work in any EU country. For your wife she would need to apply for a work permit before she could work
