So. The inertia goes on.

SLG and ourselves had dinner at our place last night (after we watched England footie). She. the voice and financier of the LG family, has agreed with her brother (but not yet with her deceased brother's 3 kids) that they want sell to the PROBLEM and have done with it. Good so far.

However, unlike us, she and her brother are determined to make the PROBLEM pay through the teeth to get total ownership of the Indivision. She had an evaluation done about 6 months before we had ours done in October 17 and they differ by !00,000 euros. Oi wey!

We offered to sell to her (and her branch of the family) at the lower estimate, but comme toujours emotional anger is in play.

Channelling Eric Burdon.. "I gotta get out of this place".

Well not this place, which is wonderful, but rather this idiocy.

Volte face!! SUCCESS!!!!

We've managed to convince the other two family groups to each buy a half of our third of the indivision at a price which pleases everyone and gets us (in due course) out of all the internecine crap.

Champers!!

De dieu, de dieu! And I thought that my family was dysfunctional!

Congrats, but as Tweedpipe says, I'd hold off on popping the cork until it's signed and sealed.

Much, much too late for that.

No, I feel we know more than enough about the legalities of all this stuff by now. (fingers crossed). On the other hand we also know enough about French bureaucracy to expect complexities along the way, But I think it's sorted now. We engineered a win-win-win between the three families.

Of course it'll take months to finalise.

Update: we're going back to Normandy for a few weeks mid-October until mid November so as to sign the Acte de Vente at the notaries' office on November 7th.

Light. Tunnel. End of?

Hi Novo,
You should confirm with the notaire when you should expect to receive your money.
Sometimes they do not rush themselves to pay out the money.
Hope all goes well.
