Default British Embassy citizens meetings re Brexit

Hi everyone, I've found out that the British Embassy in France will be holding a few events for British nationals living in France to answer questions on Brexit. There will be a few meetings in a few different regions - www. eventbrite. co. uk/ o/ british-embassy-paris-15384405241 (sorry, I can't share clickable links just yet!)
I'm going!

Thank you CatieV. I have linked and quoted the events below to ensure everyone can see the details.

The British Embassy Paris have announced the following two events on their EventBrite page (should these not be on their own web site?):

Annecy - Mon 3 December 2018, 18:00 – 20:00 CET

The British Embassy in Paris will be holding an event in Annecy on 3 December for British nationals in the area to update on Brexit negotiations with regards to citizens' rights and to answer questions.

The event will begin with a brief introduction and then the floor will open for questions.

Note: after signing up, you should receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite. Closer to the date of the event, we will email the location of the meeting to all attendees. If you do not see the email, please check your spam folder. If you still haven't received an email, please contact [email protected]. Please make sure to bring a photo ID with you to the meeting. Thank you.

So are the Embassy going to know more than what is already being said to the public by British Government sources because considering nothing is set in stone and the prospects of anyone reaching an amicable agreement whilst continuing their clandestine agendas currently seem unlikely it seems like a long way to travel for people doing their upmost to avoid answering questions but if there is a free glass of wine and a few nibbles or better still a mince pie I'm game.

The British Embassy in Brussels has published the speech given at a recent outreach meeting:
This gives a hint of what to expect at these meetings.

Many thanks for this update.
Just a few of the comments that I found particularly interesting:
"Each member state will decide how they will implement any ratified withdrawal agreement"..... etc
"Those UK nationals lawfully resident at end of 2020"..... etc
In the case of a no-deal. "Member states were asked to take measures so that all UK nationals legally residing in a member state on March 29 2019 will continue to be considered as legal residents of that member state without interruption and to receive any necessary permit as evidence of their legal stay and right to work".......etc

One issue still of great concern is the question of continued healthcare & social security cover after 29 March 2019 in the case of a 'no-deal'.

No doubt there are still more questions than there are definitive answers to, with everyone - except the Brexiters - hoping that a 'no-deal' will be averted.
Those currently holding resident permits may be feeling slightly more comfortable, and those with permits pending somewhat on-edge, although I guess that applications having already been made with interviews already finalised at the prefecture, the permits should normally be completed by 29 March.

I can confirm that once a completed dossier has been completed and satisfactory interview conducted at the prefecture, they do issue a 'recepisse' provisional document, which remains valid until the full titre de sejour is sent by post - within 10 days in my particular case.

Interesting albeit very worrying times for UK nationals here, and of course other member state nationals and their families in the UK.
