Question anybody know what ARES and CENTIARES

hi , i am looking through the deeds for my property in france and the land is descibed in ares and centiares , does anybody know what these are equivalent to , or how to convert to metres squared/feet etc ?, thanks

I have a property development business in Poland. There an ARE is 100 square metres so maybe this fits with your numbers.

An Are is one square metre and a Centare is one hundred square metres.
