Hey! New here so not sure how this works but...

I love and work in france but as my other half wants a change we aim to 'move down the hill' down to Annecy after Winter has defrosted!

As I am English and my partner is french we're looking for a happy medium in Annecy.

Does anybody know where expats move to? We're in our late 20s and I prefer as close to the centre as possible for work but obviously price makes it difficult.

Hi, and welcome to the forum!
I can't help personally, but do a forum search (button top right) entering Annecy, and you'll find some older threads on the subject. Unfortunately those making the enquiries don't seem to be regulars, but they might give you ideas.
It's not clear whether you want to be near the centre of town for work because one of you already has work lined up there, or whether you'll be looking for work.
Are you looking to rent or to buy? You must know already, but take a look in the Read-Me: Moving to France FAQs above regarding Renting, Inheritance Laws, "Partner" status, etc....

Well I'll be searching but due to my trade and ability to speak french rather well it should be relatively straight forward.

At this stage it's more for an idea whether it's got a hub so to speak of expats or whether that doesn't really exist in Annecy
