Habitation is being phased out so owners would just have foncieres to pay It is literally impossible to give a ball park figure as there is a labyrinthine formula for working it out meaning two similar houses next to each other have different taxes In addition there can be reductions for age/income so they need to ask at the time of a visit You also need to consider TV licence and rubbish disposal tax
I should take this opportunity to mention the fosse septique If it is not up to standard the cost of the house should be negotiated down The seller should be able to show you a pass/fail certificate
