14 Juillet parade
Todays parade in Paris,well worth watching as it is most years.
The timing of this is very good and must be a big headache for some one.

Thanks Stanage, will watch out for that. We had all the guns going off last night from 11pm, I thought we'd been bombed at first till I remembered the date!

There was a concert in the little square in Collioure last night that went on til God knows what hour, very interesting hearing rock n roll numbers sung in French. Great atmosphere all ages up and strutting their stuff.
We had a torch it parade round the village and so far today, there has been a parad with all the local dignatries, the Gendarme, pompiers, mayor etc which upset a few of the drivers as they had to wait for them.
Probably a big firework display on the sea front again tonight. they like them here!

We were the same, fantastic firework display last night and more planned for later. Weather also fantastic here, hot and sunny, so should be a good evening.

Sounded like ww3 had broken out here last night. Port Vendres and Argeles sur mer competing for loudest fireworks. collioure didn't bother we just had a catalan band playing mexican music in the square!
Was slightly disappointed as the place got like England in as much as even the supermarkets were open. Didn't feel so much like a bank holiday.
