Just got home, they reckon the peak at Gympie was 13 metres, should start to drop now as it moves downstream. Those pics from the verandah are the scariest - being able to see that much water in what is usually just a green/brown landscape!

Hats off to Ergon Energy who seem to have worked their socks off - reports we got from them were of workmen being ordered to go home fatigued cos they just couldn't work any more at reconnections, but the vast majority are now back on.

Should calm down now, the main area of concern is Noosaville where the water meets the high tide.

Rainbow Beach tops the rainfall charts so far with just under a metre in total as Sean said
