Coles sold 1 week expired yogurt to me
Hi,
Coles sold me 1 week expired yogurt yesterday. I just found out it and spoke to store manager about it. He asked to bring it to give a refund. Is there anything i have to do, rather than getting a refund ?

I don't know what you want to do about it. Personally I'd happily eat a yoghurt a week over the best before date, it's just advisory really, still perfectly safe to eat. Take it back, get your money back and/or another one and forget about it. Certainly not worth doing anything more than that.

As long as they didn't ask to do a bag search then you should be good to go.

Do you mean because selling expired food can cause the retailer a fine? Compo?
Coles or Woolworth can afford any fine the main impact would probably be some poor shelf stacking student might end up with no job.
Not sure if an expired yogurt is worth that much worry in the grand scheme of things.

Does the label say "Best Before" or "expires"?
Just curious. Yogurt is good for weeks after the stated date.

You should totally sue them. It'll be worth millions I'm sure...

Of course, the simple answer is always to check the dates on any food item you buy, something I do everytime.

The obvious answer is yes you can just eat it. If that's to simple I'm sure we could all come up with some better ideas. Mine is to get a country singer to write a song about it. Keith Urban is probably at a bit of a loose end at the moment, he might pen you a lament about expired yoghurt.

If you played the track backwards would the yoghurt become milk.............

Our Spanish au pair in the UK wouldn't use the eggs in the fridge because they were going to "expire" in three days time.
