Firefighters and aircraft are working on a fire in the area of west of the Great Western Highway between Warrimoo and Blaxland. The fire is not contained.
Current Situation
The fire is burning in a south easterly direction towards Baden Place, Blaxland.
An Aircrane and several helicopter are working in the area to contain the fire and protect homes.
The Great Western Highway is closed in both directions. Avoid the area and delay your trip. Trains are also affected.
Advice
If you're in the area around Baden Place and Bridge Road at Blaxland, seek shelter if the fire impacts on your property. Protect yourself from the heat of the fire.
There is thick smoke in the area and residents should be alert to possible burning embers. Well prepared and actively defended homes can offer safety during the fire. Follow advice from firefighters on the scene.
An Emergency Alert telephone warning message has been sent to phones in the area.
The Great Western Highway is closed in both directions. Avoid the area and delay your trip. Trains are also affected.
If you can not return home or you have chosen to relocate, try to stay with family or friends. You can also go to Glenbrook Panthers Bowling Club, Hare Street, Glenbrook.

Continue to stay up to date with the bush fire situation by checking NSW RFS - NSW Rural Fire Service, listening to your local radio station or by calling the NSW RFS Bush Fire Information Line on 1800 679 737.
If you live in the area but are away from home, it may not be safe to return to your property.
For information on road closures, check http://livetraffic.com. Roads may be closed without warning.

A grass fire is burning on the Hume Highway at Coolac in the Gundagai area. The fire is not contained.

Current Situation
The fire is burning along the Hume Highway at Coolac near Gobarralong Road. The fire has been downgraded to Advice level.
The highway is now open in both directions.
Firefighters are working to contain the fire. A southerly change is starting to move through the area and crews are monitoring the fire during the change.
Advice
Avoid the area.
