Pretty old article, not sure if it will paste.
Not to cast to many doubts on the numbers in that article, but a million people is more than double the entire population of New Orleans before the event, let alone the population after it.

Rebuilding??, we usually employ up 40+ people on a house that may accomodate 2 - 4 people, plus all those behind the scenes - manufacture etc.

Or shall I just give up now and admit everyone in new orleans is a right bas!ard

Because that's all you hear come out of Gillard's mouth lately...

I have but I know it is not UNIQUE to Australia. You on the other hand, because you hate it here, are trying to show that the Aussies are saying it is UNIQUE to this country, which is a ridiculous idea.

I feel really bad about New Orleans right now

It sounds like millions did the right thing, dare we say were good mates but all anyone remembers is the rapists.

Reading on it sounds like the military and govt made a fair screw up

But I guess govts screwing up is universal too.

Interesting I didnt actually realise 1600 died, knew it was bigger than bvegas but holy hell thats huge

Must admit that I hadn't realised that there had been fatalities on such a scale either.

The real problem is that you are a bit mental.

It's your opinion - nothing else.
