ENSO Wrap-Up
Bureau of Meteorology officially declares a major El Nino; predicts drier, hotter conditions - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

Though with the amount of rain we've been getting, I'm not seeing those 'dryer than average' conditions... :sneaky:

(to be fair, they do point to the warmer-than-average Indian Ocean dominating the weather)

We did point out the rainfall to our Bureau guy at work, but he is sticking to the 'We have an El Nino' line.
I thn diverted his attention by pointing out the cyclone building near the Solomons and he lost interest in El Nino and started playing with cyclone models instead :D Far more colourful he reckons!
