Their recent TV ads argue against their being climate change: one ends with the words "Carbon dioxide, they call it pollution - we call it life".

CEI's past funders include ExxonMobil, Ford and GM.

There is a concerted interest in the US in particular to rubbish any data showing manmade climate warming, with reputations of scientists being systematically rubbished and funding being given to "sceptics" and witheld from genuine research. As the biggest overall polluter on the planet at present I think they have a great responsibility for whatever happens.

Having said that, I don't think *any* government will do anything worthwhile because it would *really* hurt us all immediately!

You would get the service, everyone in South East Qld is entitled to it
the Government are actively encouraging everyone to get it done.
And they are paying for it!
Well we are in the long run.

Lot of things def say grant available for this or that if you are on town water, which we are not.

So anyone who has been saving water by using tanks that are getting on a bit and could do with a change to stop leakage can't get the tank grant as it's only available to those on town water.

It continues to look like a lot of it may be compounded by the mismanagement of the water system in the first place

Hi,
My original post was about the home waterwise service which you are entitled to, it doesn't matter whether you are on tank water or not. It is run by the Qld Gov. and they want all houses restricted to save water.
It only costs $20 and is a bargain.
Anyone wanting it done call 1300 287 462

Martin

Not saying I'm not entitled to the $20 service bit, it's the rest like the tanks and pool blankets that tend to be restricted to town water people only in the small print when we save just as much water by not using the town water... .
