BushFires
Havent looked thru and trawled the posts on here.
I must be honest, was getting pretty scarey yesterday, a few bush fires I had noticed Northside on friday, and a few yesterday closer to home.
Its quite eery, you can see the brown dirty smoke sitting precariously at the foot of the sky in the distance, yet cant see where the fire actually is.
Was some fires closer to home yesterday, neighbour is a fireman, and is on 24 hr call at the mo.
We went for a meal at Romas on Logan Rd yesterday, Mt Gravatt !!!
HIGHLY recommend this restaurant superb STEAK, and the biggest rack of ribs you have ever seen lol...
Anyways after 8:30pm we were heading home, down the Logan, and notices embers etc glowing at the road side, it really homes in how close to nature and its ramifications in this dry spell we really are.
Level 2 sprinkler bans, and no rain for yonks ... hmmff...
So today, me and my mate Rod, checked my Davey pumps on number 2 dam, and all is well, just in case we need to use dam water in case of fire, ho hum.. the prils and plights of not being on Town Water huh

for regular updates, plus a hotline at 1300 369 003
there is a eucalypt plantation burning up near Caboolture at present - you can smell the eucalypt in the air on the north side of Brissie, nicer than the normal smoke smell.
