Default Brisbane CBD

Anyone got any detailed info on the brisbane CBD. I have searched but couldnt find anything specific. Is it still full of water, how high did it go.

We have a series of appointments and youngest sons surgery at the kids hospital between the 19th and 24th jan, all I am told is its all OK till you hear otherwise

But what exactly is the CBD like right now.

I assume bad, one of the other sons is due to take his driving test next week and the 100 hour log books they submit are now submerged or lost in a building in elizabeth street, the transport dept has no idea what will happen, lines now busy you go on hold then they cut you off.

Great timing I picked and I go overseas on the 7th feb Panic

Our friend came back to us - he said it doesn't seem as bad as media reports - and thankfully his ground floor apt didn't flood(Tenriffe).

From what I heard they are working hard to get CBD up and running.

Good luck with your hospital appointment

If anyone knows when Milton will get power, please let me know. First Born is stressing about uni offer and QTAC is out. They'll obviously extend the accept date but it's still a bit frustrating.

Edit: rolled eyes signify daughter winding me up, not that QTAC can't do their job. It's not the most important thing in the world.

My son is also waiting for his uni offers. As I understand it QTAC are saying offers are likely to be delayed by a week, but they'll get them out sooner if possible. I know that UQ's campuses are closed up to and including 19 January.

My son has also applied to unis in Sydney and Melbourne, so it looks like UAC and VTAC offers will now come in before QTAC offers.

As you say, not the most important thing in the world compared to the bigger picture, but to the students it must be hugely frustrating not to be able to make plans.
