Interestingly I thought that we have been seeing more 5ish magnitude earthquakes recently, particularly in area away from the usual. So a little research and it appears an increase in earthquake rate was predicted, from 2018 to 2022, as a result of the earth's rotation slowing slightly.

So I wasn't just imagining it.
