Re: Tsunami in Asia.
Can anyone help? I am trying to find my brother Keith Arnott. He moved from Hong Kong to Thailand about 18mths ago. He works in the construction industry as a QS. He also co-owns a bar/cafe on a beach in Phuket. He has a Thai girlfriend.
I have no up-to-date contact details for Keith - he usually calls home at Christmas but hasn't and we are now getting concerned. Does anyone know Keith or does anyone know how I could go about getting information. I have tried the missing persons lists with no luck.
any help would be appreciated - thanks
janine

We once arrived in Phuket on Boxing Day to spend a wonderful holiday with two other expat families at the Marina Cottages and Dive Centre at the headland of Katong/Karon beaches, just around the bay from Patong....I feel chilled to the bone to know what has happened to this beautiful island and its lovely people.
I'm sure that you've exhausted all avenues by now, but just in case you haven't come across these websites there may be a lead for you....I pray that your brother and his girlfriend are found safe and well:
http://www.phuketitcity.com
http://www.phuketpc.com (messageboard for missing persons)

Also read the post by "Midge" on 28/12/2004 on this thread for places to call (have you tried ATTA - the "Association of Thai Travel Agents"?

The "Lonely Planet" website has the 'Thorn Tree' messageboard with a special section to track down missing persons:

I really hope that your brother is safe and well. Please please let us know when you hear.
I want to say Happy New Year to those in countries that have passed midnight.
But it doesnt seem right really.
So I will just say Keep safe and well to those alive and rest in peace to those taken in this awful disaster.
