Taiwan - Leasing a car
 

Hello,

I am moving to Taiwan (Taichung) imminently for a couple of years as an expat. Within my package my work have given me an allowance of 20000 TWD a month towards a car. They are dealing with one direct agent, and have been given the following costs:

Toyota Yaris - 16100 TWD
Toyota Vios - 16500 TWD
Nissan Livina - 19500 TWD
Toyota Sienta - 19800 TWD

These are brand new cars and cover everything such as insurance etc.

Is this pretty standard pricing? As coming from the UK, this seems pretty high, and I am concerned that because they are just using one agent that I am not getting the best deal.

I am after a 2 year lease, and I don't have to directly deal with this agent, so if anyone has any recommendations, or can share their experiences / suggestions then that would be appreciated.
