Reccomedations please - Cheapest way of using mobile phone in Thailan

Hi all

I seem to remember reading somewhere that you can buy a SIM card locally (in Thailand) to use in your UK phone (mine is a tri-band Mitsibushi on Orange contract)

Is this still possible or has it been "outlawed" by the Thais.

Failing this option does anyone have any advice on the cheapest
solution as I've heard the Hotel phones are V expensive.

Thanks

Gazza

Its very easy to buy a pre-paid SIM card to use in a UK mobile. Just
look for shops selling Dprompt or One-2-Call cards, drop it into your
phone and off you go.

Agreed, pre-paid phone cards are easy to come by in Thailand.

Unfortunately, I have had the experience where these cards wont work in
'sim-locked' phones. As long as you can make sure yours isnt locked, youre
in business :)

Max.
