Re: How do you fill your day?
I'm no longer there but as a trailing spouse almost all the time I was in Asia, I managed quite well.
Shopping, lunching, drinking way too much, going to the gym and the spa...god it was hell.
I did voluntary work as well, with out of school / underprivileged youths.

Re: How do you fill your day?
Today:
Had coffee, breakfast and more coffee
Drove to greengrocers and mini-mart
Thought about washing my car but did not (too hot today)
Went for sweaty walk with Mr KK around our development
Sent some emails
Made lunch
Did some Thai studies (very pleased with myself as I haven't touched the books for nearly a week now - slap wrist)
Wrote a couple of birthday cards
Assisted the technical department (Mr KK) with some minor DIY
Swam 16 lengths of the pool
Made a cup of tea and messing about on the internet (now)
Tonight will go out for dinner as it's our anniversary - yayyy!! - and no doubt some celebratory drinkies back home after.
That's about it. Sounds pretty boring doesn't it?
The voluntary thing is wonderful if you can do it - but on Thai retirement visa you are severely restricted on what you can do Another thumbs down for Thai visa regulations I'm afraid. Less restrictive on the Philippines and Malaysian visas I believe.
