Hi all,
We are currently in Saudi (four years) but might be moving to the UAE. We work very internationally and so wouldn't be there for more than say half the year, possibly less. Can anyone tell me about Emirates outside of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Def not interested in living in Dubai - not because of the current situation but would rather not pay the premium as won't be there that much. I haven't been to any of the others. Would really appreciate any feedback as to what others might be like in terms of housing, ease of living etc. Any we shouldn't even consider etc. Thanks a lot in advance

Credit Card and lounge access

Hello everyone,

I have been using various types of credit cards for lounge access over the last 15 years without any issue. However, starting this year big changes took place in credit card lounge access policies. For example, Visa Signature used to offer unlimited access to card holder but early this year they limit it to 12 entries per year with a condition of spending at least $100 every quarter. Master Card used to be unlimited entries with 1 free guest but starting last month they limited it to 20 entries per year with a condition of spending $1 at least every quarter. I asked a banker about these changes and he said the credit card companies are losing money with unlimited access, but I am not convinced with this explanation as it has been so for ages.

I like to hear from you if you experience similar thing and what is the best credit cards that offer unlimited access? Someone told me Emirates Credit Card offers unlimited access but this card has an annual fee, so what you gain on lounge access you have to pay as annual fee. Any suggestion?

Thanks,
Scott
