does anyone know how in the heck i go about getting a visa to come over to the UK and work? I am mostly interested in nanny/au-pair work but i' thinking about a pub or two as well. i know- the two don't really go hand in hand, but oh well. any help from any of you wonderful british folks would be appreciated (i love the brits! my boyfriend is one of them!!!)!
Thanks- Mindy, in Montana, USA

How old are you? If you're a student, or student-aged, you may be able to go on a
work experience program (pretty freeform; you pay the money and get a work visa good
for a year or so). Check out http://www.bunac.org/ for information on one
organization that facilitates these.

nanny / au-pait has special visa status which makes it relatively simple if you've
got work - check out all the nanny agencies in London and just start to apply.
