UK university fees post Brexit

All
We have been living in Biarritz, South West France, with our 3 children for the last 9 years. Before that we were in London where the kids were born.
They all have UK and French passports. (English father, French wife).

The two elder children are at uni now in England, one finishing this year and one with another year to go. So they are not affected.
The youngest will be 16 this year and wants to head off to uni un England too - so starting in 2022.

I get the feeling there is no clear information post Brexit for UK overseas students or EU students, as the future of fees for overseas students has not been clarified for those starting post 2020.
If this is the case, it will take some lobbying from groups who are in the same position, to maintain the fees at £9250 rather than the very alarming international fees of 25-40k
There are also at least 3 years of advance planning when choosing a university course - the choices of Baccalauréat, and specialist subjects are made at 14 or 15 - so the matter is pressing for anyone with kids aged 14 and above.

They may request 3 years residence in order to qualify for the lower fees, which will not be the case for most of us.

If anyone would be interested in forming some sort of group on this then please let me know.
This should concern anyone with pre-uni aged kids intending to stay outside the UK and I am not sure of the rules governing UK students from outside the EU.

I never actually realised that EU students paid the same as UK resident students.

You might find somebody sets up an opposition petition if EU students do get to still pay the same as UK residents, not sure many UK taxpayer will be happy to keep subsidising those from the EU once we've left!

And you enjoy uni for free in many EU countries because we don't charge our students. Who subsidizes whom here?
