I don't recall saying I expected a surprise - merely saying there is no surprise this time around, there may never be a surprise, time will tell. I posted this merely for those who just might not be up to speed on the 6 months requirement.

So the Government is going to allow British citizens returning to the UK to use the NHS & claim benefits.

They already do as former UK residents who return will be eligible for free NHS care immediately.
