Default traveling to Venice with Ryanair

Hello,

I need to go to Venice in December and I found Ryanair travels to an Airport "close" to Venice (Treviso Airport). I know there is a bus line going from Treviso Airport to Venice, but I actually need to go to Venice Airport (Marco Polo). I there a way (different from a Taxi) to get to Marco Polo airport from Treviso ?

Thanks for your help.

By bus is probably path of least resistance. Bus from Airport to Treviso.
Bus from Treviso by the railway station, Blue or Yellow(ACTV), to Venice
Piazzale Roma. About 40 mins or so. Then change bus to a Blue one for
VeniceAirport, about 15 mins.

Doesn't 'Go' (now owned by Easyjet) fly from Stansted to Marco-Polo ?
Dunno about how pricing compares though...

The bus from Treviso is operated by RyanAir and goes to the Venice bus stop
which is exactly where the airport busses to Marco Polo leave from, so that is
probably the best way.

You could take a train to Mestre and a taxi to the airport or a train all the
way to Venice, but that would be more complex and time-consuming. I doubt that
there is any airport transfer between the two airports (Treviso is a very small
airport) but you could always ask when you arrive.

Note: Last I saw, RyanAir had a very low free checked baggage allowance and a
very high charge for excess, which could offset their very low fares.
However, when I flew them to Treviso from London and back again at Carnival
time last year, they did not charge me excess despite my usual 28 kg suitcase.

Flew Ryan air to Treviso two weeks ago on a Sunday

The airport is very small - about 6 movements on that sunday 4 being
Ryanair, there were no Taxi's.

We were picked up by the tour operator and as has been said Ryanair operate
their own bus, don't know how far the station is from the Airport but it
could be a problem getting to it, don't know what the airport is like on
other days of the week but I would organise transfers before hand.

Finding someone to ask could prove difficult

Small is an understatement check in with one shop and 5 desks at about 250
sq ft, departure lounge with two shops is slightly smaller.

The allowance we had was 15 kilo's a person but nobody at both airports
seemed to take much notice of that although there are a number of stories
about access charges at something like 4 euro's a kilo.

Hello-

I went to Venice with Ryanair last summer, and the hostel was literally next
to Marco Polo Airport, the runway was next door.

Anyway, I think that the best way to get between the two is pobably to go
into Venice and then back out again. It's easy to get the Ryanair bus from
Treviso airport right into PIAZZALE ROMA-main bus station in Venice . From
there I usually took a public bus to Marco Polo Airport- catch it in the
red section A8: take bus n° 5 to the Marco Polo bus terminal . The bus
stops are well signed and there's an information office where they speak
english, but you need to buy the ticket before you get on the bus (an a
return one if you'll need it). Neither of the busses is very expensive, but
it's about half an hour on each bus, so for a taxi it would cost a fortune.

Sorry if this is garbled; for confirmation go to the website
http-
    ://www.hostelworld.com/availability.php?HostelNumber=66&IhhHostel=no

where I got this information. The hostel itself would have been quite nice
if anyone had ever cleaned anything.
