Hi. Just wanted to bring the topic up with a more specific question ( hoping to find someone who applied through Ucas for Universities). In which form you have submitted your grades as a part of application . I have asked the gymnasium ( canton Bern) and was informed that the gymnasium normally do not issue interim grades during the final matura year. Before i make another meeting with the head teacher, just wanted to ask for an advice from people whose kids went through UK application process and in which format the school gave them the interim grades. Thank you very much in advance

Good luck in your search, I do suspect that there may not be many, if any, current members from Switzerland who have done as you wish.

As far as I understand the current system, those ordinarily resident in EU, including Switzerland are exempt from fees in Scotland.

It might be an idea to contact faculty offices directly and ask any specific questions you might have. They will be happy enough to talk to you although I would recommend a phone call rather than an email for making initial contact..
May I ask what course your son is considering and which University..?
It might also be worth noting that given the current state of the further education system here in the UK, (a bit of a bad joke in many cases) a number of the Universities are extremely flexible with regard to entrance grade requirements and will accept considerably lower grades than those originally asked for when it comes round to clearing time, and some of them don't even bother to insist on decent gradings in the first place and just go ahead and make unconditional offers to all and sundry regardless of academic ability or the lack thereof - you can thank Tony Blair and his madcap "education for all" nonsense for that.
