We were very sorry to hear of the predicament you are in regarding your property and wish we could help.

We will be visiting Selwo on 20th October (midnight) until 27th October. During that time if there is anything we can do to help you then please let us know. Our apartment is 1421. Our email is [email protected], if we can help then let us know and we will come and see you. Anything at all, shopping, cleaning, etc. (This sounds a bit like we are a company who will charge you for these services - far from it, we are your neighbours and we just want to help in any way we can). My husband is very strong and if you need any furniture moved etc. he will only be too happy to help.

We are sure that by then you will have already entered your apartment, if for any reason you have not then we will help to you get up the stairs, if you so wish.

Good luck with everything
Jackie and Carl

Hi Jackie and Carl.

Sorry for the reply, have been getting ready, Many thanks for your kind words, What lovely people you,and with all the other offers of help. reminds me of the the war time, when every one rallied round to help each other(thats give my age away hasn't it). with people like that we should be a great community.

I hope I have not give you the wrong impression that I am a complete Invalid. My Disability is a Walking one which limits me to shorts distances without a rest, this was bought on by Arthritis, which resulted in a false knee replaced three times, the last one three weeks ago, plus a double anxle break. So I can still get around whithin reason, but climbing steps is another matter, especially 42 of them!

I look forward to meeting you when I come back in October.

Kind regards. Ted

Hi, Otto & Brenda,

I think we met in passing before - we are in 312 on the first floor.

Casa Rattan was good value we thought but not cheap. Jean's was potentially very cheap - we were buying for ourselves so looking for things we really liked. Jean etc seem to specialise in clearing good quality expat houses so well worth a look. But obviously some tat as well.

Good luck it can be fun buying from scratch.

Pete was great - put in halogen sunken lights and ordinary ones and did a lovely job fitting stuff in the bathrooms. He lives on site and you can e-mail him at [email protected]. He also does an apartment management rental service.

Hope to see you at some point.
